Footprints
Redesign
The book cover being redesigned is Hardy Boys “Footprints under the Window.” The target audience is boys age 8-14 and their parents.
When designing this book cover I wanted a sleek, modern design that is unlike other covers you would find in the children’s section. I also needed to have a design that could be carried throughout a series. I used Michael Bieruts’ book Tibor Kalman and an interview in which he stated that usually the most obvious answer is the answer as inspiration for this cover design.
